Science Day 2020
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Science Day was celebrated on the 28th of January, 2020 in G.V.M.’s Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education. The theme for the celebrations in college was ATOM TO SPACE.
The preparation for Science day had started well in advance. Responsibilities were allotted to the Science students. Students of other methods too were given a chance to participate.
The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Paresh Parab. The Function started with the welcoming of the chief guest and declaring open the Science Mela. Science Mela saw the display of various Science exhibits. The library was converted into a dark room were various mesmerising videos were shown for a day.

The formal function started with the welcome song by the Science method students. I was given the responsibility of giving a PowerPoint Presentation on Sir C. V. Raman, in whose honour Science Day is celebrated in India. I was extremely glad and honoured at having got the opportunity to talk about a man who revolutionized Physics with his discovery, The Raman Effect. Several performances were put up by the students of other methods.
The program concluded by a lovely tribute to our dearest Ma’am, Dr. Anna Neena George.
